I've been searching for some yummy cookie recipes for an annual cookie baking party I'm attending tomorrow. A few of my friends get together and bring cookie dough and bake and chat all afternoon. It is so much fun and we get to leave with a bunch of different types of cookies. I usually do something traditional like sugar cookies or peanut butter blossoms but this year I wanted to try something different. I'm going to attempt the two below so I'll let you know how they turn out. My very favorite cookies have always been chocolate chip. Since those aren't really very "Christmasy" I want to try this holiday version by adding the peppermint to it.
I love eggnog so these look particularly yummy and not something you see very often. The recipe calls for custard powder which I can't seem to find so I'm going to attempt to substitute it with instant vanilla pudding mix. I'll let you know how it works out.
This is the other cookie recipe I considered but I know these would be a lot more tedious so I think I'll stick to the top two. Aren't they so cute though?
